The California housing market defies inventory as sales increase 1.3% from this time last year.

       The San Francisco Bay Area’s median price of Single Family Homes was $856,200, increasing 10.2 percent from last year. Sales in the Bay area increased 6.5% from a year ago.

       The median price in the Central Valley region increased 9% to $317,040. Sales in this area have increased by 4.6% since last year.

       In Southern California the median price of single family homes increased 7.7% from a year ago to $534,820 and sales increased by 5.8% from last year.
